Milwaukee, WI - The Screamin’ Eagle Flat Track racing team will field veteran rider Rich King on the 2005 AMA Flat Track Championship series. This will be King’s sixth season racing for the factory Harley-Davidson team. Last season King scored his third consecutive victory at the Springfield Mile and finished on the podium at two other races. He finished the season in 12th place with 91 series points.
“Last season we had some strong runs, but we weren’t consistent,” said Harley-Davidson Racing Manager Anne Paluso. “This season we need to improve our consistency so we can battle for the championship right from the start.”
Screamin’ Eagle racing mechanics Craig Lager and Ryan Cross will help build and tune King’s stable of race bikes, including the XR 750 he used to win Springfield and the XR 500 and Rotax-powered short trackers.
“Craig and Ryan are at the top of their game,” said Paluso. “They have been and will continue to be a big part of the success of this team.”
